Organ Informance
Saturday, Mar. 7, 2009

Christ Lutheran Church, Athens, OH
The public – all ages - is invited to attend an Organ Informance program to be held Saturday, March 7 from 1:30 to 3:00 at Christ Lutheran Church in Athens. The mechanics of how a pipe organ works will be explained, how the organ is played will be demonstrated, music will be performed and all questions answered. There is no charge for this program.

The purpose of the American Guild of Organists is to promote the organ in its historic and evolving roles, to encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music, and to provide a forum for mutual support, inspiration, education, and certification of guild members.

Founded in 1896 as both an educational and service organization, our guild seeks to set and maintain high musical standards and to promote understanding and appreciation of all aspects of organ and choral music.
